Today was a really good day, considering it's a Sunday and I'm interning with a church there was a lot going on today. In the morning, Matt, Riley, and I went to the 10:30 AM service at the church's main campus in Peoria, AZ. We went a little bit early so we could get breakfast at the church's cafe before we went into the service. Once we went in the service the music began. This particular weekend happened to be acoustic weekend meaning that the entire service was played "unplugged" and there were no electric instruments except for the bass. During this whole week I have been getting to see all of the worship leaders prepare for this weekend's service, but I had no idea how awesome it would be. The amount of presence that the band brought with all acoustic instruments was unbelievable. Jordan Howerton led the service and had Ben Gowell and Jess to accompany him on vocals. It was honestly one of the best services I have ever been to, the music was followed by communion and a great message from Senior Pastor Don Wilson. After the service was through we went back to Matt's apartment before I had to leave for a 2:45 rehearsal time back at the Peoria Campus for the nights High School Experience service. The service started at 5 PM and we got to play some fun tunes, one was by one of my favorite artist's Phil Wickham. Danny led the service and it was really cool getting to play live with my mentor beside me. The music ended up going really well and it was a great Sunday.
